I had the first of my twice a season chimney cleanings today. The techs are very courteous, efficient, and thorough!

6/30/23 I called this morning around 9am to see if Smalling could come and reattach the directional hood that blew off the flew from the high winds yesterday. They arrived at 3pm the same day. They quickly determined the failure was from a clamp that had broken and reattached the hood and screwed it into place. It won't come off again!

After several reschedules because of windy conditions the stainless steel chimney chase cap has been installed. The Smalling workers were very willing to meet my requests for adjustments to the flue components.

I used Smalling Masonry to inspect and make needed repairs on the chimney and refacing the interior fireplace with stone plus installing an electric fireplace insert. We moved away from the wood-burning fireplace. From start to finish the service is what you’d expect when trusting a contractor to do work on your home. With our maintenance plans, we will proactively schedule a check-up each year. This includes an inspection and, if needed, a sweeping. According to the NFPA, every fireplace should be inspected annually to ensure that your system is functioning properly and is suitable for your families use.

We will look for any gaps or cracks that could leak fumes or gases into the home or anything that would be an increased fire risk. We will also check the structure of your chimney and look for any potential points of moisture entry. If your system happens to be new or new products have been used for repair, then our maintenance will also ensure your system is in full compliance with manufacturer warranties.
